Short, steep, and rocky, up to one of the best-known viewpoints in Big Bear. It is a real climb rather than a stroll, but it is over quickly and the payoff at the top is the whole lake below you.
TrailheadParking is off Big Bear Boulevard near Talbot Drive, and it fills up. The pull-in is small and the highway is fast, so take care getting in and out.
Good to knowThe rock can be slick when it is wet or icy. Proper shoes, and not the obvious choice with very young kids.
